Did you fab those? Or just paint them... either way they look good!

Not me, pretty tight tolerances in the bends and welds not to mention bolt holes for a proper fit. These are motobilt and come raw. Most people just spray paint them. I did that at first but messed up the prep and it wasn’t durable. Blasted it all off and decided to have a paint shop do it.

Thats a really nice looking setup. This is good to see for if I decide to go that same route. As for psi, I think you’ll find the chalk test wanting you closer to 32 than 42.

Yeah, when I did some back-of-the-napkin calcs it was something like 29 psi for these (71 lbs per psi for the 124R load rating). I think 29 is too low, though. Chalk is my best bet to get it "right"

I have had my Granite Crystal Sport S since the end of September. I love the color but the orange peel bothers me sometimes on overcast days.

Do any of you guys with Granite Crystal see a lot of orange peel in the paint?

No more than any other Jeep color. I have a black and a white JK and they are both about the same. I can do better with a sprayer in my DIY paint booth if I really take my time

Ok, no more upgrades for awhile.... This is how she sits today: MOPAR Lift, 1.5" teraflex front leveler and 37" BFG's. From stock, I gained about 5" of total height to the rock rails in the front and 4" in the back!

She needs a bath... and I need a shower. The LCA's on the MOPAR kit were hell

This is what I see on my hood looking out of the windshield. It looks like hammered copper with paint over it. I don't notice a finish like this on my Gobi JKU that I had for almost 4 years.

This looks like normal orange peel to me. It needs a wet sand and polish and not that uncommon from the factory.

My billet silver has a few panels with mild orange peel.

I got it Thursday, 2022 Overland 6MT. Dropped it off yesterday for lift, tires, wheels and a few other small things. Can't wait to get it back tomorrow! All I got from my guy is a picture of the wheels mounted so far.
