Sh**, I just realized why.... just like we have outboard drains on aircraft for highly flammable liquid oxygen, they probably attach hoses to a separate bilge tank on every vehicle to catch any kind of leaks that could be flammable vapors or are oxygen depleting on an underdeck. Makes total sense now. They need the outflows to be as big as ever probable.But why are they so large for a diff/trans breather? Those are like 1/4" tubing. And it doesn't look like anything could be running to the rear one. All that is next to it is the pillow mount/carrier bearing location for the driveshaft. And also, why such a huge outlet that looks a lot like a thermostat housing/radiator hose sized connection?
