If you have a Ruger American Rifle you may be interested in this trigger spring kit by MCarbo. It reduced the trigger pull by two pounds from 4.5 pounds to 2.5 pounds on my 6.5 Creedmoor Predator rifle. Will test fire it soon.

Side by side with my .243 Ruger American Compact, which has the same trigger assembly, the difference felt amazing. I have a spring kit for the Compact too, but I am holding off installing it until after I test fire the Predator.

The Compact is my "truck gun" and I may not want to reduce the trigger pull on that one. (Nah. Who am I kidding.)

My husband and I went to our first ’competition’….registered thru Practiscore. Although, it was a Steal Challenge Fun Shoot’ - not an official Steal Challenge match. Five stages…. about 68 participants. We had no idea what to expect. I was soooooo nervous!!!

It was a very relaxed and welcoming type event…… the guys did a great job making us feel comfortable (outside of my ‘nerves’). Beginner & Safety briefings were good and well explained!

My first stage was the worst (Stage3)….….Hit the Stop plate too early…TWICE!! Then, I forgot to reload. 🙄 OK…got that out of the way. Slow….absolutely…but not terribly slow. Thank God I wasn’t the worst shooter there!! 🤣

Each stage after that, got easier and better. Not perfect, not fast, but I’m happy with it. I had 3 failures (dead trigger, light primer strikes) through-out the day. We’re trying to investigate that, still.

Today…heading back to the range to try out his PCC with the silencer!

Congratulations, Janster.
You have had your "Baptism of Fire",
so to speak.

My experience with USPSA shooters,
albeit more than 40 years ago,
was that they were fine gentlemen,
very supportive of the few distaff shooters
that we had at that time.

Awesome! Steel challenge is where it all started for me, but I made the mistake of starting at a very competitive match. It turned out fine in the end, as everyone was great with newbies, but dang I was nervous!

Awesome!! The casting bullets is a whole other process.

We actually cast our own fishing weights & jigs. We have several molds and a little lead pot. Smaller scale for sure….. I told the hubby he should consider making the bullets, and he just said “I don’t wanna be bothered”
Perhaps someday when we’re retired and have all sorts of time on our hands. 😆
I've casted fishing weights years back, and a hundred or so pounds of scuba diving weights. Though about starting the bullet molding but there for some time it was cheaper to order. My lead pot was low buck method
coffee can, fire or torch, ladle and molds. Still have around 70 lbs. I dive weights.
I definitely need to get back reloading again, dang price of primers and powder. 😳 I knew I should have stocked up on primers.

The suppressor $200 tax stamp
goes away Jan 1.

Still have to submit the form but no tax.
There will probably be a rush that may delay approval, but I am a COB
(a Cheap Old Bastard).
I've been waiting 78 years.
A few more months is not a problem.
I was looking at some a few days back, then thinking a 9mm rifle rated can or 458 can would be nice to my collection. Having another 5.56, 9mm and big bore would completely cover my needs. I did a Form 1 can for 5.56 several years ago a good learning experience, I bored it actually 6mm for some leeway to prevent baffle strikes. Depending on how it changes after Jan 1 I may do a few more Form 1's to fill the holes of mine. If I do it will definitely be a lighter weight cans than my first one.
When you do make the jump and recommendation is a 22 LR can and whatever rifle can you can use on multiple calibers if you find one like 46 Harvester with multiple configurations including pistols. Otherwise you want more. 😔:headbang: I use my 45 pistol can mainly on a 9mm PCC AR and rarely on my 1911. My 22 LR cans have had many thousands of rounds though them.

Like what? Anything except a lot of lead down range?
For starters... it needs to prove itself reliable. Already ordered the Trijicon RCR, magwell, optic plate.

Weapon light is undecided. Likely a TLR-7 HL-X but I might also do another Surefire X300 Turbo.

I usually port all my handguns at Monsoon Tactical and let them do a custom cerakote but I'm not sure if I want to port this one because it's naturally a smooth operator. lol.. so maybe just a custom cerakote.

Yeah, aside from reliability test and external add-ons, I can't see needing to do much to this one.
