I know it isn't what you asked, but what you're looking to accomplish is retarded. Also, what's convinced you you're not getting your key back from the police in the first place?

Super annoying, left my windows down and the key in the center console. Tweaker just happened to be in neighborhood and picked up my key and some other things.

police picked him and his partner up, their car with my things is parked in their impound lot. They are waiting for a warrant. I know some of my stuff is in there as my AirPods are showing the police station as the location. Officer said it can take over 2 weeks to get a warrant.

I got a quote to duplicate a fob including cutting a key for 285$ plus tax. In the event that I need to rekey the vehicle, how does one go about rekeying the interior? The glove, console and seat back.
I'm not sure about the fob, but any decent locksmith should be able to rekey the physical locks. I was quoted $40 per lock for a set of TJ doors if I removed the cylinders and brought them in; it was a bit more if they had to pull the locks from the doors themselves.

Granted, that's also for the old style TJ key, Imm not sure if it would apply to the JT style. Look up the two or three best locksmiths in your area and give them a call, they should give you a rate per lock over the phone and many have the stuff to program keys.

@Mister Lamb it’s ‘retarded’ because I want my vehicle function the way it came from the factory? What a weirdo.

@Sweetums I was quoted 200$ per lock for rekey. I’ll definitely be doing a bit of diy

@Splenda as big as it is, there is no room for anything in there

Must be the new key style. I'd call my insurance company at those rates and see if a rekey and fob replacement would be covered under the comprehensive policy.

Rekeying the plastic cylinders (glovebox, center console, under seat box) is easy as a DIY. I wouldn’t pay a locksmith for those, just watch some videos and figure it out. I did it once to add a Mopar keyed locking fuel cap using these instructions:

(I can’t speak to rekeying the doors or rear seat backrests)

When someone is arrested and car impounded, a warrant isn't needed, what they do is an "Inventory" of the impounded vehicle so that when the owner gets it back he can't say "hey, my laptop is missing". This is common for any impounded vehicle. I don't know what the police told you but they do inventory impounded vehicles.
