Does anyone who owns a gladiator have a handsfree system that works great?
Everyone who has talked to me while driving in my Gladiator says they can hardly hear me through the wind/ static noise when going over 30mph with doors and hardtop on.
so I’m just curious if there are people who don’t have an issue with their handsfree / Bluetooth system.
I’ve tried using a USB cord also with no luck.
thanks for the replies

I use mine mostly with the cord connected. I rarely have issues, and get no complaints. The volume will vary with some calls, and need adjustments, but good at any speed.

I try to talk to my wife on hers, but she has to be sitting at a red light to understand her.
It's a Jeep!

I did not have an issue with the doors and top on, but I happened to have a set of air pod pros in the JT the other day.
I used them because my doors were off. First time I used them, but they are pretty amazing , especially with the noise cancellation setting.
I am not a tech guy, they were a gift, but if you have a need to have good communications while driving, I would recommend getting something like the air pods

The "hands-free" bluetooth part of my wife's Grand Cherokees, every one of them, has worked GREAT. No issues. She gets texts and can listen to them, and she can make and take calls with no issues and you can hear her plainly and others can be heard plainly.
My JT - the only times I will take a call is if it's from my wife - period (or a call I really need and am expecting) otherwise, the other person will simply have to wait. Especially since 3/4 of all calls are spam of scam.
In any case, hands-free or not, I will not be distracted while driving. If I get a text, I wait until the next stop to check it.
There's no other call so important that I'll take attention off the road - just my wife or a doctor or a call I really need to get.

For those calls I have taken or made - the first one was when it was raining pretty good and the other person said all they heard was rain and wind so they waited until I got home (it was a call I wanted, from my doctor)
BUT - just about 4 months after getting my JT I got new hearing aids. WOW, bluetooth!
So if my wife calls or someone I need to take calls, I use those and there's zero issues because it's like a mic right in my mouth. NO wind, NO rain sounds.

Does the JT system work well? Yeah, but not as well as her GCs has worked, rather disappointed as it's not real reliable - I may get a text from her needing something and it won't always come through on the JT so I don't know I have gotten one until I stop and check my phone. It's hit and miss in that way. It seems to always ring with a call, but only works sometimes with texts- and sometimes 30 minutes after I get the stupid text.
So why does it work great, perfect, in the Grand Cherokees of the last decade but not worth a hoot in the JT?

Works fine for me. I have the sound deadener heat kit inside though... maybe that makes a substantial difference

I’ve got the Hothead’s headliner and the phone still sucks. I took it to the dealer to get the new steering gear box TSB and mentioned the phone issue. I actually called him on the way to drop it off so he could hear for himself how bad it is.
When I got the JTR back they told me they are going to order a new microphone. Still waiting for about two weeks and haven’t heard from them yet. I did find that plugging it into “CarPlay” works better but still not great.
