I look forward to HAUK resolving the template issue, I’m interested in these. I wish they’d make a second version with a step in the edge so those of us that like the red edge can retain it for a more OEM look.

I sent Hauk a message before ordering and they assured me everything is fixed and will install properly. I guess I’ll see when it arrives. Haha

BrnxBomr2 - Call HAUK while putting on Template - they are SUPER helpful! I highly encourage you to do the same to avoid any miscues and regret. The template is a bit tricky..... the end result is superior though......

Full Disclosure: I dropped it off at a shop to have the lettering spray coated with Rhino Lining and had them remove the JEEP letters and install. They were given instruction to call Hauk (they did). They further said yes, it was a PITA to accomplish. However, they nailed it. Total for shooting the lettering with texture coating and install was $200. Well spent. Its a head turner accent!

I will be leaving this with a local shop to have installed. I may have them do the rhino lining treatment as well. They usually do great work. If I ask them to call, they will for sure. Thank you! Actually as I was writing you it looks like mine was delivered.

Cool! Post a pic when you have it completed.....

The Rhino Lining gives it a nice textured/rugged look. I did the same on the front (removing the Rubicon lettering). It turned out nice! Here is before/after.

That looks great! Did you do a lift on your JT and those 35” tires? Looks higher up

Just be aware that the dash location shown on the link is directly on top of the discharge location for the airbag. Could be dangerous if the airbag deploys and sends that plate flying.

Well aware of that. I'd imagine the manufacturer has thought of that and is possibly the reason the plate is made of plastic instead of metal.
