It’s hard to pin point but sounds like it’s near the frame side Track Bar mount or the Steering Box.

So, I recently installed a Sector Shaft Brace for my 2020 Gladiator due to steering wheel play. It has an aluminum box and this helped tremendously. I can now feel a very, very small shimmy in the wheel when hitting 50mph.

I have tried two local dealerships that don’t want to touch the box/say it isn’t an issue. Though this kinda proved it was with slop.

I have Extended Warranty through Zurich so may try calling them to replace it.

Anyways, I have a new drag link, adjustable track bar, new tie rods, brand new Teraflex balljoints, and castor is 6.5 degrees and Rancho dual steering stabilizers. They all look dirty but these parts are all less than 4 months old. On 3.5 inch lift, running 35x12.50 with 33psi. Track Bar and Brace are toques to specs

Here’s a clip of the noise. Any tips? Should I be worried? Or is this noise just backlash from the Steering gears? Didn't notice it before the Brace install. Am I Overthinking this?

Drives fine other than that shimmy/wobble I described.

Thank you

I'm curious what the warranty company (Zurich) will say when/if they inspect your vehicle and see aftermarket suspension parts. Will that be enough for them to not warranty your claim? Please keep us updated...curious because I have a lifetime powertrain warranty through them. BTW I thought Jeep had a "recall"/replacement warranty on the aluminum steering box and will update you to the newer steel steering box for free.

Something... something... software.
I thought there was a TSB or something like that to get the aluminum steering box replaced with the steel one.

There is only a TSB out for the box. Not necessarily a recall, factory warranty would cover it. As for the aftermarket stuff I called when I got the Jeep and asked they said I can do anything I want as long as the problem wasn’t caused by the aftermarket parts. Which this box would be an issue stock as well.

There is but that is not a recall so my extended warranty would have to cover it.
I am going to call them Monday and see what happens. If they won’t cover it I will probably cancel this warranty and get money back from unused time if possible with this company.

UPDATE: I got rid of the wobble while hitting bumps. Here it was the track bar bolt came loose on the adjuster and caused play in the steering.

Still have a slight dead zone in wheel.
