I got a few questions for you...
Have you test drove one yet? If you haven't, test drive a manual one and automatic. 4:10 gear is well worth it any case I'm sure 3:73 will be a dog with a load for most. "3.6 engine" I test drove both and with a lift aftermarket rims, tires not my choice and a Rubicon.
Q #2 what part of AL are you in?
My buddy has a Rubicon another has a base Sport, I've got a Max-Tow.
I wasn't as happy with it after pulling a trailer to N.E. KY in Nov. MPG wise, my LJ would have got about the same or maybe better MPG. 4.0 with 31 tires and 3:73 gears? My buddy with the Rubicon liked his towing his camper, from N. AL. to PA. Last I knew him and wife was out west traveling with it.
Q#3 are you planning on rolling a Mopar lift kit into the deal or post purchase? That can change some of the consideration of options. Post purchase a 2in spacer kit and Mopar lower control arms should do that well without grossly changing the ride. My possible next thing is a set of spacers.
I haven't driven a manual rubicon but I have drove a sport s manual with 3.73 and I enjoyed it quite well besides the soft clutch petal which I can get over. Im in Lincoln alabama. (Close to talladega superspeedway) and third im trying to go as cheap as possible with start up so no lift when I get it but eventually wouldn't mind a nice 2inch lift.

I've built probably 1000 vehicles from different trims on the build website.
Dude. Same. I use the spreadsheet @eternus put together and it's enough to drive yourself crazy with possibilities.

I went Rubi because I was able to get a 2% deal on financing (at that rate you gotta use the banks money instead of your own)
You mean in order to get 2% they limited the amount you could put as a down payment? Or that because your own money makes more than 2% you decided to finance more? On another note, I would love to know what the average loan length/payment is for Gladiators. I want to stick to 48mo (36 would be even better), but that's an awful big check to write every month, even with half down.

Personally I believe getting more truck than what do you think you need to eliminate that feeling of I better not do that because I’m not sure the truck is capable.
A hundred times this. I've been stranded a few times and it suuuucks. I never want to worry about that again.

Yea I meant like my money is making more than 2% so rather than spend that, I just built what I wanted and spared no expense. Also Rubi’s tend to carry a higher residual by a percent or two from what I understand.

I bought mine as a company vehicle, so my financing options were limited. No incentives for companies.

I wanted a 42-month loan, but they would have charged me 8.4%. So I had to go with 60-month, and got 6.4%. But I pay extra each month so it will be paid for by 42 months.
