Hey guys I am about to pull the trigger on a gladiator sport S with max tow. I am coming from a 2019 F150. I know that they are a different class of trucks. I do finding myself driving my wife’s JLU all the time instead of my F150. I really do love her Jeep. I guess I am just looking for some reassurance from the group here to pull the trigger.
I haven't owned a full sized pickup since the early 90s and that was a 71 C10 so I really can't help with that comparison. What I will say is, I went from a 13 JKU OME to a 2020 JT Sport. People would ask how I liked it and I would say that I loved it. After a couple of months, that answer changed. I still loved it, but I loved it so much I wanted to trade it in...on a JTR. Don't get me wrong, I was perfectly fine with the Sport, but having driven Wranglers for most of my life, I was torn between building up the sport, or buying one that really didn't need building. The sport felt like it needed to be built ASAP. I ended up with a Mojave instead of a Rubicon because I play in the sand, not the rocks. It is perfect for my needs. Small family (2 of the 4 kids are out of the house), bed for when I want to load something in the back...gravel, sand, gardening soil. Plus, the Sport or the Mojave will pull a boat or small camper. We have a red heeler, a pit, and a yorkie. The two big dogs with the 14 and 11 yr old kids would be cramped but doable if the kids didn't mind relinquishing their laps. Most of the time, going to the beach, we just take the wife's rubi and she carries her own dog and one of the kids, I take the other of each in the JTM. The yorkie does not travel with us.

Not sure if this helps or not, but it's my 2 cents, take it for what it's worth. Good luck, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
