After sitting in one at the providence show then sitting in other trucks like the ranger dodge or even the new at4 by seirra for more less the same price as a rubicon "rumor has it" it's going to be a hard decision but I think I'll go else where. For a full size pickup alot more truck for your dollar for sure. I'm still kinda in awe about the view from the driver seat this may be my opt out to be honest

Typically people drive with the hood shut so your view from the driver seat should be greatly improved ;) :)

Opt out? As in you dislike the view from the drivers seat? Why?

Guessing typo, maybe he meant "opt-in" reason. No doubt the full size trucks are heavily discounted and offer lots of bang for the buck when comparing dollar to dollar. Cost wise the JT and Ranger are going to be about the same pricewise as a RAM or F150 after discounts. For me, it's more of a "width" issue than a "length" issue, lol. The full-sizes have gotten so dang wide it's a PITA to drive around the metro-plex and to leave enough space to park another SUV next to it in a double garage. In my garage I can't put anything in front of a full-size (freezer, lawn equipment) and it squeezes the wife and kids getting in out of our SUV. I have the door dings to prove it, lol.

I know. I’m driving around my then second vehicle right now. I paid 2500 cash for this little ranger and the only thing I have had done to it thus far is oil changes and changed a belt. Some ppl spend 1250 a month on their new ride. Insane!
Haha, my fleet includes a 225k 4x4 Tahoe, 150k AWD Endeavor, 90k Murano, 75k 4x4 Tundra CC, and 6k Rogue Sport. Seems like I am getting oil changes, buying tires, and doing brake jobs.

I'm pretty much sold on it unless it is terrible to drive. It is the only union built truck I can buy with a manual transmission (Ram HD just dropped the manual option off the Cummins).

However I will wait because I really want to hold on and see if the diesel will eventually get a manual or at least a manual on a more powerful engine choice. Otherwise I will have to turbocharge it.

I’m definitely awaiting the price. But my local dealer has a couple Ram 1500’s with the exact options I want (5.7L, Black Appearance, LED package, level 2 package, panoramic roof, blind spot). Could I get away with a Sport S JT for around the same $42K?

for 42K you have to easily get that and some. I don't want to start price wars again, but that has to happen
