Does jeep use the same width between the headrest rods from model to model? I love the adjustable headrests in my Pacifica, the Gladiator I sat in seemed to have a headrest that pointed too forward for my liking.

The inside distance is 5.375” and the outside distance is 6.5”

The diameter is 0.5”
I'll measure mine later, thanks!

May want to double check your measurements. They don't add up......inside plus two rod diameters should equal outside distance.

I'd like to see a replacement for the back seat center headrest that can be swapped in and serves as a material rack for long things going thru the cab rear window. That would be handy.

Hey @steffen707 I have a real simple, stupid suggestion for you. Suggest that you take one of your headrests to a local Jeep dealership and then see if it fits on any Gladiator that they have on the lot. And if it does fit you head to a local junk yard and buy a pair from a trashed Pacifica and put either pair on your Gladiator when you get one. Saves a lot of dinero. Buy your wife a chilly beer, or 2 with the money saved.

My headrests are fixed, no posts. I think they point WAY too forward and wish they were adjustable. Is this because I got leather?

Give your headrests a pull up and you will see the posts. There is a button on the base of one of the posts. When I took delivery of my JT I realized the following day that the headrest on the drivers side was angled forward but the passenger side was pretty much in line with the backrest of the seat. Diddled around trying to tip them to no avail..... pulled the tipped headrest completely out and turned it around. Now they both match and are in line with the seat backs. This is a Rubi with leather. I think they are actually backwards now.......

Pacifica is
6 7/16 outside
5 3/8 inside
Pretty close to 1/2"

So they're probably the same which is awesome!
I'll try the swap when I get my JT and report back.

Also if you flip them they won't protect your head in a whiplash situation.

I just think the angle is too abrupt, albeit I only sat in jp1s LE for like 3 minutes.

I'll wait till I get mine and try the swap, if it works, I'll maybe consider doing it.
