Headunit Unlock Code Question

Hoping someone can help me. I am selling my 8.4 headunit as I went aftermarket, but my dealership says they CANNOT give me the unlock code. They first said I would have to come in with the headunit and my Jeep and my ID, which was fine, but then they asked around to some service techs and said that they couldn't do it no matter what, and that it "wouldn't work". At one point they even said "the wiring harnesses are different" whatever they meant by that (given it came out of a gladiator and would go into a gladiator).

Can anyone help me find a dealership or someone that can get my unlock code? How have others gotten their code/sold their radio? I am happy to provide whatever proof that it is actually my radio out of my car.

Please PM me if you know of a way I can get this done. I want to make sure to get the potential buyer what they need to be successful with their install.

When I sold my head unit in my JL I called the parts Dept of my dealer and said I was selling the unit and they provided the code.

I bought a used head unit from a stereo shop. They had a contact at the dealer who used the radio serial number and my VIN to generate a code for the radio to work in my JL.

Sounds like I am just dealing with a dealer that is not very helpful.
