Hey everyone,
I’m trying to decide what wheel and tire setup to run on my 2024 Jeep Gladiator Sport S (non-Max Tow). I know I want to run bigger tires than the stock 245/75R17, but I’m waiting until my Bridgestone Duelers wear out because I have the machined wheels, and I really like the look of them. Otherwise, I’d just grab a Rubicon take-off set from Marketplace.
What I’m Looking For:
Has anyone run 275/70R17 with 1.5-inch spacers on stock wheels? How does it look? Does it actually sit flush with the fender, or does it poke out a bit?
What’s the best high-end, reliable spacer brand? I want hub-centric spacers that won’t cause issues.
Is there a better option for my priorities? I would love to run zero offset wheels instead of spacers, but I like my wheels and don’t want to spend extra if I don’t have to.
Priorities (Ranked):
Aesthetics (Flush fitment, slight poke but not excessive)
No rubbing off-road (Max flex clearance)
Acceleration / minimal power loss (No unnecessary weight increase)
MPG (Avoiding unnecessary efficiency loss)
If anyone has pics of this setup or experience with flush fitment options, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Thanks in advance.

What I’m Looking For:
- Keeping my stock Sport S wheels for now (economical & aesthetic reasons).
- A little bit of poke (I like the look when Gladiators have a slightly wider stance).
- Avoiding excessive MPG loss (I know wide tires sticking out can hurt fuel economy).
- Prefer 34s (275/75R17), but they might rub at full flex without 1.5-inch spacers.
- I don’t want to level it – I like the factory rake for MPG benefits.
- I’ve heard 275/75R17s rub at max flex unless I run 1.5-inch spacers.
- With no Max Tow, running 34-inch tires might kill my MPG & acceleration.
- I want a setup that sticks right out to the fender (flush) but not past it.
- 275/70R17 + 1.5-inch spacers seems like the best middle ground (aesthetics + efficiency + no rubbing).
