I'm looking into connecting a pair of off road lights gifted to me for Xmas and I know the aux connector is pretty much already plug and play, for these, but wanted to confirm since the lights did come with a wiring harness with switch, fuse and relay.

So the question would be, could I just straight wire these lights to the aux connector without using the provided relay/fuse wire harness or is it needed for the lights / jeep, to properly function?

Thanks in advance for the input. Looked around for a similar post about this topic, but couldn't find it.

I installed a set of KC lights last month on my Mojave and connected the power wire to the Aux 3 wire and the ground to a ground. That's all you need To do. Aux switches are fused so you're good to go.

Just installed my Christmas present…
Just cut what you need from the supplied harness, from the lights. Combine the two pos, splice to the aux wire you choose, combine the two neg attach to ground. Good to go!
The aux circuits are fused, and relayed.

I used the provided harness on my lights with the switch part removed, because the lights came with nice sealed connectors and I wanted to retain the individual 10A fuse as I intend to have multiple lights hooked to the same 40A circuit.
