Check for a blown N3 fuse. If it's blown, the aux battery isn't getting charged.
Winner! It was the N3 plus 2 others in that fuse bank. Replaced and back on the road. Failed auxillary battery was the culprit.

Advice to everyone....Replace batteries every 3 years whether you think it is needed or not. These factory batteries were at 4+ years old .

I have an Odyssey pure lead high performance AGM main battery in my JL that I will use beyond 3 years, but the aux battery, which is an AGM, but not pure lead HP, will still get replaced at 3 years.

My JT had its factory batteries replaced in November of 2023 under warranty due to an aux battery failure. So in November 2026, out they go. I've already got it marked on my calendar.

Anyway, thanks everyone for the help and @jebiruph for zeroing in on the specific culprit! You guys are the BEST!

Exactly, mine lasted exactly 3 years, both done, went with the Duracell in both, upped the CCA in the main battery,

Stopped buying Autozone and Advanced batteries, they don't last,

Hey all, had the christmas tree dashboard today and came across the post. Had check engine light come on a few days ago, the morning after a huge rain storm. It was on for half a day. I got the ABS U0121 code, failed communication.

Then today it came back on, turned the car off, and starting it back up christmas tree dash, wipers, the whole bit. Turned off after a couple of minutes. I turned it back on and just the check engine light was on and seemed to drive fine.

I drove the short distance home and it sits in my driveway.

Would a failing aux battery cause this kinda intermittent stuff? Or the high amp fuse?

My main batt is from 10/22 not sure on aux.

Any thoughts much appreciated!
