I have the aftermarket Lasfit Auxiliary switches and winch.i hate the rats nest of wires. Any advice to clean it up would be great. I was thinking of switching to the Voswitch 6 gang switches just because it’s cleaner.
I have a 2nd battery in bed that runs cap lights and fridge and it’s connected to main battery by Redarc BCDC controller with solar. That’s the brown wire in fuse box cover. Aux battery delete has been done as well.

Yeah that looks confusing. Can you run components to a distribution block on the firewall? Maybe just have a couple main power supplies coming off the battery and have everything go to the firewall would improve organization massively. Maybe to a tray on the passenger side of the engine bay would work too. There’s a couple options for that.

I did see a tray on this forum somewhere. Maybe from 813Fab? Need to do more research on how to make that distribution block. I've done all the wiring, obviously, on my vehicles but I am far from being an expert. I carry extinguishers for that reason😜

Distribution blocks can be found on Amazon. Just have to figure out what amperage levels you need to run to keep it safe. Having say 3 wires coming off the battery to 3 distribution blocks is way more organized than 12 coming straight off the battery along with the fuse center and everything else right there. Haven’t tackled it yet or I’d be able to say more. Only extra electrical I have is a Wolfbox and a winch.

While I can’t say you’re wrong there, organization is key when chasing gremlins. It’s a whole other level of hell when you have to pull loom off 7-8 different sets of wiring just to find a pinched wire or something. My Suburban got a poor wiring treatment before it was mine and that is still pure nightmare fuel. Draw it out in cardboard or paper and plan groups of wiring according to similiar function. You’ll be happy you did when/if you ever decide to change out components.

Look, I know my engine bay is a mess. You don't have to post pics just to make fun of me...

I can't help you come up with a plan to deal with that much wiring, but I'm going to make suggestions as to parts / sources if you do decide to rip stuff up and redo it.

Take a look at what Blue Sea Systems offers in terms of bus bars / "power posts" / fuse blocks so that you could organize the wiring away from the battery terminals / main body ground.

https://www.bluesea.com/products/category/4/BusBars_and_Insulators

I use Tesa anti abrasion wire harness tape: Tesa 51036 1" It is available in different widths.

I'm assuming that you don't have a hydraulic crimper or hammer crimper to crimp lugs onto large cables. Haven't used either of them myself, but these places will make custom battery cables:

https://custombatterycables.com/custom-made-battery-cable/

https://gregsmarinewiresupply.com/product-category/custom-made-cables/

That way you could have appropriately sized cables from the battery terminal / main body ground over to bus bars.

For expandable sleeving, I've used this stuff it can be cut with scissors instead of needing a hot knife. The ends tend to fray, so you'd probably want to put heat shrink over the ends to keep the sleeveing from unweaving itself.

Good luck.

You can get a hydraulic crimper for about $30 on amazon. They ain’t the best and the dies will probably be off by about a gauge, but they work pretty well. I’ve used them for up to 2/0 and gotten positive crimps every time. And nothing has burned down yet!!! :like:
