Hey guys. I've been in the market for a rooftop tent. There are some fantastic gently used ones for sale in my area. There are two I am mainly interested in. Looking for advice on which one to pick up since I have never had experience with RTT's before. It will be going on a half-rack in the bed (trying to keep CG as low as possible and the tent only an inch or two above my roofline for them aerodynamicz). The two candidates are a CVT Mt. Shasta with the annex ($900), or an Eezi-Awn Jazz ($700). Both appear to be in excellent condition (will do further analysis when I do my pre-purchase inspection). Which one do y'all think is the better deal? Thanks!

Did you get a RTT yet? Sorry, just saw this post.
Of the two, the Shasta looks to be a better tent. With a mid-height rack, your annex will never look perfect. It will function to hold gear etc. but will have a squished look.
Let me know how you made out.

Our Torro SkyLux (4 person) at Fort Wilderness, before my wife took 8 inches out of the annex. Now it lines up MUCH better.
I went with a aluminum MaxModular full height rack, it weighs 60 lbs and the tent weighs 160 not counting the annex which has a heavy rubber floor and weighs a ton. Tent alone drops my JTR 1.5" all the extra gear, table, easy-up, cook gear, cooler, portable toilet and tent, a/c (yup-ZeroBreeze) etc. drops a bit more. Going to add air-bags.
Have done some decent trails loaded. Got to watch the tent clearing tight trees etc..
Enjoy!!
