Worse. During the initial SC install his wife asked if it'd be best to hang onto all those stock parts just in case, at which he scoffed and dramatically flung them in the garbage. Now he must acquire the parts posthaste lest he incur a severe dose of "I told you so". 😁

I have yet to hear of a reliable long term SC install. I fear that most of my warranty is gone due to the list in my signature .

I have nothing left of my factory suspension or axles but my dealership still covers the engine, transmission and transfer case under the powertrain warranty with no issue.

You won't hear of one because it's the Internet. Only exploding engines get talked about for 1,000 pages, not successes that few even mention.

I have done 521 Supercharger tunes. Many of them have them have been successful, checking in now and then for updates. I assume it is about the same ratio as what Jeep is seeing for failures on the engine its self. The forced induction is not what makes the unreliable. it is the valvetrain. The forced induction just significantly exacerbates things when it happens. I would say I have worked with 10 percent of the trucks I have tuned that had a mechanical failure or lost engine.

The first time I took mine to this dealership I was talking with the advisor and he said they usually have no issues with modifications as long as the person is cool with them they will be cool with me but if I cause issues they will blacklist my VIN. He even told me that I needed to either leave the Tazer installed or use JScan to set the tire size because if something does happen with the engine or transmission they have to record all the ECU information and take pics and send it to stellantis to get the warranty approved and if the ECU information doesn't match what is on the vehicle at that time it will get denied. So far I have had no issues with them at all. Can't same the same for some other dealerships in this area though.

I would ONLY ever use a tazer for live settings. I want changes to be in there forever, or like happened to me a couple of times, I made the change, dealer added the sales code, vin matched the truck when I traded it. They loved that thought.
I mean - tazer is fine and good and I'd say well supported and generally reliable, but what if...........
I want tire sizes, gear changes, that sort of thing in the modules, not pushed to them from another device (aside from live features)
