I bought steps that bolt on to the door hinges but I can not get the factory bolts out. I tried heating it with a torch and also my impact driver. They will not budge. Any tips or trips I should try before I return these steps? This is for my 2021 Gladiator. Thank you

Take a small sharp knife and cut around the bolt heads to release the paint connecting them to the hinges.

Do not use an impact! get a 3 foot breaker bar after cutting the paint and break the bolts loose by hand. This is how I got my 1999 TJ apart up here in rusty new england.

Same. Boat. I nearly stripped two and popped 2 loose. I’m stopping to avoid a full strip. Going to ask my jeep dealer if they can assist but first will get matching colors for steps as my dv8 steps are black powder coated and the bolts provided are stainless steel.

(Also my bolts provided are T30 I think and the ones in door are T50. What size bolts were provided with your steps?)
