HELP! Stuck in autopark

Hi All:
Came home and went to close the gate and opened the door and put into park to late so it went into auto park. It is now stuck in autopark.
I can't get to reverse or forward . Any help? Oh yes I read the message to put into Park and then gear that is when i found out i was in trouble.

put in neutral. turn it off and then back on.

Did you turn the vehicle off and back on?

There's a little orange strap under the shifter bezel. It let's you manually override the shifter. I'd pull it. And then throw it on neutral, then park.

make sure your doors are fully closed

Thanks to all for the replies. Yes i did shut it off in PARK and Neutral and still no go. I thought of the neutral trick but tried to start again and it worked. Something must of reset it self.

stupid question…but need to ask.
did you latch your seatbelt before doing the steps to take out of auto park? the seatbelt is a critical part of it going into and getting out of auto park.

I said thanks before i saw the posts about doors closed. yes they were. An the post about the seat belt i did not have it buckled when i went back out to try it and it worked.

There's something that makes me both cringe and laugh at the fact that like a computer or phone we can turn our vehicles on and off and they'll fix themselves.

Did you close your door?

This will fix it, I got a 2024 Jeep gladiator and I fooled with it for five minutes. The door was open.
