Yeah the FedEx and UPS deliveries don't normally even try my driveway except in reverse at the bottom, and would notice a heck of lot faster. :giggle:
That does remind me of 2 incidents in my past last one I was dispatched to MVA and building. Teenager decided that the family minivan was ugly and didn't like it threw it in reverse stomped the gas across parking lot over curb and sidewalk striking ice machine 2 soda machines though block wall. It happened to bust off 1in waterline in the store and fire suppression system line.
The other was a Chevy minivan GSA vehicle that would decide to engage cruise control and start accelerating amongst some other random things. That one is my hard dislike of push button start and stop. The former wasn't a vehicle failure but the older sister tried to say that it was. The 13-14 y.o. flat-out stated what happened though, she did it deliberately.

All bets are off when you don't maintain the batteries in your smartphone on wheels. There's a big difference between how something is designed to work and what happens when the electronics go into freak out mode.
It actually happened as I was driving. The ESS battery dead shorted out while I was driving. On maintaining of the batteries, I doubt anyone can say mine were not. Considering I have a dual solar systems that were connected and kept them fully charged and monitored. Heck my 05 Wrangler is kept on a battery maintainer when I'm not driving it, along with 4 wheelers trolling motor batteries. When some of us have closed to 2k in batteries alone some of us try to maintain them. :like:
I'm one of the early birds with the Cascade solar system on a JT. Plus my house solar system has a secondary feed that charges starter battery.
The latter is part of my talking with service manager a dealership if it's getting worked on. So I can disconnect the solar systems, then reconnect and verify my electrical wiring is reconnect correct.
Note for everyone if someone works on your vehicle double check your winch cables afterwards. Not mine but a buddies of mine had batteries replaced at dealership and they tucked winch cable under the battery not hooked up. Their diagnostic was the winch needed replacement. I looked it over and saw it.

Again, you had an unusual failure that caused the electronics to have a hissy fit. Your experience is in no way indicative that anybody should expect Autopark to engage outside of its design parameters under normal circumstances. That's the point I'm making.
