Hello all,
Recently installed the Recon flairs in my 2023 Majove. I ordered fronts for both the front and back.
Fronts fit perfect as expected.
Rears I knew would be a challenge. I cut the relief slits and installed as best I could. Not good enough.
Got a gap on the rears (see pics).
So I ordered another pair of fronts and am going to try again.
Does anyone have any tips to make this fit better? You tube has people installing them and they look perfect but do not show much detail on how they did it.
When my wife noticed this (she never notices anything on the jeep) I knew I was in trouble.
I love these flairs. I installed Fuel rims in 17x9 and they make the stock 33s poke about 1.5 inches. the flairs cover it perfectly.
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for you time.

had the same issue. I can give you my solution but just note it's not a recommendation.

More holes drilled and more plastic rivets. mostly on the bottom side of the gap.

I still have a gap and frankly always will, but i reined mine in from "everyone's going to see that" to "i know it's there, but anyone else would have to catch it at the perfect angle"

I made the necessary cuts in the recon fender flare to make if flexible enough to fit into the jeep's fender. I started by lining up the recon fender flare at the bottom of the jeep's fender and "riveting" every few inches as I worked my way up to the front of the fender. Don't be afraid to drill new holes through the fender flare and into the fender wherever necessary to avoid the gap you experienced. good luck!

I used extra plastic rivets and a little heat from a heat gun. I also cut the back ones a little shorter so that that matched the bottom ending point of the front.

Instead of making one big "cut" on the inner lip, I did a series of 3 or 4 smaller cuts that made the recon fender a bit more maleable and easier to shape. Think of it like a bendy-straw.

Here is mine, I don’t have any gaps but I did use a bunch of rivets. And it definitely helps if you have some one holding and putting pressure on the flare as you put in the rivets.

Start at one end and rivet it little by little to the other end. This is after you make the cut, of course
