Holes in bed?

There are 3 holes each side at the tailgate end of the bed. Mine are closed with bed liner. Are there nut-serts in there?
Are there for any particular accessories?

those are there for accessories like bed extenders, that can rotate up and into the bed (creates storage compartment in-bed when not extending). No nutserts under these. these are just dimples that you drill through and then run self-tapping screws into.

Thanks. Would have to be self tapping screws or insert a nut sert , see no way to get a nut on a bolt, or can it be accessed through the stake pocket? I have a hard tonneau.
