I had to clean several holes out because of the bed liner. I looked at your video and mine were definitely tighter going in, you couldn't screw them in by hand, no way, and not near the slop you have. Find a original equipment M6 fastener somewhere on your rig and try that one see if it acts the same.

My cargo rail attachment points were full of bedliner material. Had to get a tap the correct mm and tread pitch and tap out the bed liner material. Once cleaned i was able to mount unistrut with D rings. Worked great!
