I have them and they're very solid. You wouldn't be able to pop them open without damaging the hood and using a prybar or something.

Now that there's a factory part available I might be interested in switching back to the stock hood latches... I live in a somewhat sketchy area and didn't want my brand new batteries getting swiped.
stock hood locks?

I thought I saw one was available for the JT at some point but it doesn't show up anymore. I held my breath on it for a while because it's over $200... but I would love to get rid of the extra key for the hood latches.

Now that my truck isn't brand new I'm finding it harder to justify upgrades to myself
Yah, that one goes into the grill, which is different on the JT, but is it different in the JL 2020?

and among other things, if you had a trail cam this wouldn't work either.

Several years ago Jeep door theft was the hot thing where I live. A dirty thief will steal anything they can get their grubby d**kbeaters on.

I purchased the jl/jt hood lock kit from bolt lock. It came with the grill with the cut out for the lock. Only problem is that the grill is for a jl. I contacted bolt lock and I’m waiting to hear from them as to how they will resolve this. I did purchase it for the jk and it worked great . Just had to get a large rivet gun for the larger rivets. Parking in nyc overnight I returned to my Jeep countless times to find my side latches undone but my hood still locked and closed.

I saw that Quadratec sold them now but in the question/answer section different people asked if it fit the JT and Qtec said it does not since the grille is different. I wonder if the grille could be modified with a sawzall.

I installed it today . Had to cut the opening for the grill. With the opening , it’s tricky getting the rubber cover off. But I prefer the fuss over replacing the battery or worse.

No sawzalll, a good pair of wire cutters. The grill is rubber.
