A new color or trim etc? With Jeep, they are always coming out with new doodads etc. Every time a color comes out that I like, I get the itch to trade!!! How do you guys stay content!!???
I have a life and hobbies. I don't sit around and want other stuff or more stuff most of the time. Always things to do, people to talk to, places to go. Too busy, I guess, to constantly "want"??

It's pretty simple most of the time.

Only you can fulfill your life - nothing else and no one else can.
Good luck.

discipline gets easier with maturity.

life is a series of trade offs.
Flip your car after 2 years and take a $15k hit and you had better be thinking about what else that $15 k can buy you.

or the fact that that money invested would be worth $100,00k by the time you retire!!

I guess that's why I was able to retire comfortably at 60 - oh, that any my wife keeping me in line.
She's the reason we're doing ok. She says "when you have space and we can pay for it, we'll get it (or do it).

Long story but I had a Wrangler, then got a Gladiator then went back to a Wrangler and now I kinda want a Freedom edition Gladiator. I found one in Nacho that I like and also one in Bright White. But I may just wait and order a 22 Sport S in Bright White or maybe a new color. I doubt they'll bring back Nacho or the Freedom edition.

I'm perfectly content with my Nacho. Other than it not having Selec-trac. So say 95% content. If they do Chief Blue in the future I'm trading. And it will have Selec-trac. Then I will be 100% content.

So wait, you had a Wrangler, then a new Gladiator in 2020, then a new Wrangler in 2021 and now you are thinking of getting a Gladiator in 2022??

I can afford to buy pretty much anything I want, but when I come to work everyday to the same ol chit......All I can think about is early retirement!
Thats the way I feel. I'm replacing a 2007 Volvo with 136,000 miles. It still runs great, looks great, drives great and probably is good for another 100k miles.

Its just that my life has changed. We now ski every weekend, I'm going to be building a retirement home in the next few years. I need something with more room.

Yes, I could get a Ranger for 15K less than a Gladiator. That extra 15k for the gladiator is want. Not need.

other than a V8 option coming out I’m good with my sport S in sarge green. There isn’t another color I’d want and I don’t have a major interest in the other packages.

I wanted a Gladiator. I have one - I'm happy. But then, don't need things to do that.
Amen to that. When I was 33 my 30 year old girlfriend (and future wife) was diagnosed with breast cancer. That really reorients the 30 year old brain. It pushes you ahead a bit.

Makes you realize what's important.

Is everyone I love healthy - Check.
Are my relationships with my family and friends solid - Check.
Am I financially secure - Check.

Everything else is gravy and frankly not worth getting worked up about.

Because was interested in the Bronco, I was on the Bronco6G.com forum for several months. With every delay people would piss and moan about how much of a hardship this was for them.

I was like. Wait - you are complaining about a delay on a $60k truck that is 100% want, 0% need, like it was a big deal. It was hysterical really.

"Wanting" is a perpetual condition - well at least for a car guy. Acting on what want if you shouldn't (for a variety of reasons) is called maturity. Some guys have it and some never do.

I'd love it if my JT had selectrac t-case, there's several things if they were easily doable and affordable, I might - but the truck really in its current form is not unsatisfactory.
There's always "they would be better" or "that would be cool"......... but I also have so many unfinished projects, some very rare restorations to do - one I've had since about 95, so I also have to choose my battles.
The more you have, the more stress there is, the more to keep up with, the more to repair, the more expenses and in the end - your family has to deal with it all.
My wife has said "we should move" for whatever reason of the day.......... and I remind her how many SEMI trailers it would take to move us. and I don't mean u-haul rental vehicles. I mean full-size trucks.

It's pretty simple... Until a V8 shows up, I have my for ever vehicle. I'm 27 with a Hydro Blue Rubicon. Asking for anything more would make me extremely greedy.
