I'm amazed at how variable the time for building and shipping are. It doesn't seem to matter what model either. Maybe if a "spec" version is coming down the line that is to go to a dealer allocation, they change it to an order. Who knows?

agree. even my dealer is surprise. order to on a train in 20 days. i had ordered a ford back in September of last year and by late january this year gave up, cancelled that order and went jeep.

I think that's exactly what is happening. Information is punched into the computer and if a like vehicle just so happens to be already built according to that then it gets assigned. Maybe thats why the dealer stock always seems to be ones with the 'standard' set of options

mine was actually from scratch which was weirder . ordered on 2/11 and it was in framing though paint on 2/18....off to body vendor on 2/21…finished body vendor 2/28 and off to speedway, and on train 4 days after thot.

Yeah the whole automotive group has been struggling. Everyone has. Maybe this will be what brings manufacturing back to the US.

I backed out of a Ranger recently - not because of chips but after realizing that they mounted the alternator at the bottom of the engine - terrible location. And also realizing a Gladiator is much more 'me'. ha.

It is interesting that Jeep doesn't seem to be facing the same chip problems that others are though.

ordered my loaded diesel rubicon on 12/18, est ship date was 12/1, ended up getting to dealer 3/05. Hoping to pick it up this week after inspection.

Yep. I think I'm going to hold the record for longest. Ordered 22 Oct 21 and it's finally in shipping with an ETA to the dealer [Tri-City] 8-18 Mar. Loaded Manual Transmission Mojave.

Walked to the dealer, test drove it. Got it muddy and gave him the title to my old vehicle. Walked out same day. Cash is king.

I hope that works with my dealer. I have a 2018 Tacoma TRD Pro to trade, and it's worth about 44,000 on the outside, but I'm sure they won't offer that much. Either way, I'll pay cash.

Tbh my needs were relatively low. I live in the NE so Mojave’s aren’t the best sellers. Everyone wants rubicons. I believe my package only had Cold weather, premium soft top and auto. I’ve upgraded to LEDS on my own and really didn’t need much.

I was looking at a 2500 at the time and they offer me a stupid amount for my $1500 that I had to just test drive the jeep the rekindle the fire or my jeep love.

it also helps that I think I was at one of the only honest jeep dealers around me.
