If the main concern is comfort and room, do not get a gladiator.

edit: I will add that comfort is subjective. If you’ve driven a Jeep (wrangler or gladiator) in the past, you should know how they feel. I wouldn’t compare them to anything besides true off-road vehicles though for on road handling.

No my wife is just high maintenance and wants all the room In the world she thinks she lives in the hood and slides her seat back excessively. She’s ok with gladiator but def wants Silverado. Eventually thought I would be buying a fun older 2dr wrangler so that’s my justification
What is she driving? I raised 4 kids and made my wife's vehicle the family truckster if it came to going places and the extra room was needed.

If you aren't going to go off road or take off the doors or top, then you are definitely better off with a Silverado. They are simply more practical.

More room
Better ride
better fuel economy
more power
quieter
more luxury options
better handling
more towing capacity in most cases
larger bed

Man i would. When i had bruised (maybe broken?) ribs and had to ride around in my boss's range rover Evoque every single road imperfection was PAINFUL. It was quite a surprise to me because I had driven those same roads for two weeks in my Mojave with bruised ribs and never had an issue.

I’m looking at a LT trail boss which is a very nice ride and the backseat is so much bigger so I’m getting a ton of pressure from the wife consider second child comes in Dec
Just being honest here: under 6 month old car seats do NOT fit well in the back seat of a gladiator or wrangler. Once they hit the 6 month mark and you can get a little more lean to em they fit just fine, but before that point the front passenger gets quite cramped.

My second child is also coming in december, and I'll be running dual car seats in my JT no issue, but part of that "no issue" is my wife is very much aware that her rav4 will be the dedicated family car when all 4 of us are together for the first 6 months.

me and the boys going somewhere? they can ride with me no question. kids AND wife coming along? taking her suv.

I currently have the sport and Im either upgrading to a 23 Overland or theres a nice 21 Rubicon close by. If i dont do those im getting the silverado LT Trail Boss as it has more room in the backseats for my two car seats. What I am debating is the overall comfort or overall drive that much better in the Overland or even the Rubicon than my sport thats stock.
I've driven Sport, Rubicon and Overland - of those, the Overland had the very best ride. It is so good even my wife has commented multiple times "this thing sure rides nice".
We take my JT Overland everywhere - even long cross-country trips. We drove it almost non-stop from IA to FL a year ago - and back, stopping only for fuel and restroom breaks. It was a nice ride over all roads, even the crappy southern IL roads.

Ya wife has a 2023 Toyota Highlander we got it in may and it’s got 13k on it already we use it for everyday vehicle use but we use my jeep for some things like a ice day with tops and doors off but if I go with Silverado I’m getting a 2dr prob yj eventually

I drove the Mojave, Rubicon and the Overland(High Altitude package) All of them were at different dealerships--so different roads. The Rubicon seemed to wander more--It required more input to keep the thing tracking correctly. With the sarge green paint, it had a seriously cool look tho. The Mojave was definitely a better ride than the Rubicon. Ended up getting the overland tho. A HUGE factor in the decision was being honest with myself in how many times(zero) I would use the off-road abilities of the other two. The overland was quiet and compliant and had a really nice ride. It really does drive more like an SUV. I also liked the interior better with the leather dash and the bronze stitching--looked a little bit more upscale. Outside of not getting a diesel, I'm really happy with my decision........

The silverado is going to be a much more comfortable vehicle all around. Get one with a sunroof for the extra open fresh air feeling and you'll be all set.

I like the stronger frame, iron knuckles, better shocks of the Mojave.
I have a Ram 3500 and like the Chubby it is very fat and won't fit easily in city driving and parking.

Overland rode slightly better than Mojave for me, but my Overland is a diesel so the weight may make a difference. My only complaint about the Overland suspension is that the front sway bar is a little too stiff, and will rock under certain circumstances.

I've got a diesel Rubicon. It rides very nicely but I've been driving jeeps for almost 40 years. My oldest son has a Trail Boss and insisted we take it to Walker, LA for Thanksgiving last year, I also had to drive. Walker is 240 miles one way from my home and we round tripped it. That is one of the smoothest riding trucks I have ever driven. Much better than my Gladiator both stock and with Metalcloak (improvement) suspension. Granted it doesn't have a front locker, 4:1 T-case or solid axle in front but it is a sharp looking, fine riding machine. I would have opted for the 6.2L but he was fine with the 5.3. He also did Black Bear Pass in it bone stock. Destroyed the factory "Rock Rails" but no other problems.

I have driven every model and drivetrain of Gladiator and Wrangler, since I work in a dealership service department. Each has its best points, and also weak points. I have been impressed with how different each model is, because there is so many things that are shared between the models. Different shocks, springs, (suspension tuning), gears and tires can make a noticeable difference. So my recommendation is always to drive all the vehicles you are interested in, and be honest with yourself. I had planned to get a Willys, but when I looked at what I wanted as far as options, an Overland made more sense. I bought my Overland a year ago, and have enjoyed it so much. But you may like a different model, and it may fit your needs better, so there is no wrong choice as long as you evaluate your wants and needs honestly.
