How to determine trailer towing capacity?!?

So... I want to determine trailer towing capacity on 2 different gladiators. I went to the door jamb... No trailer info and no GCWR, so I went to the manual which states "go to jeep.com to determine towing capacity... So I went there and cannot find anywhere to enter... Any ideas?

Basic guidelines
Automatic transmission -
Towing capacity is 4500 lbs
With factory installed Tow Package is 6000 lbs.
Rubicon is 7000 lbs.
With Max Tow package 7650 pounds.

Payload capacity is printed on door jamb and different for every truck. It can be as low as 850 lbs on an Overland, and up to 1650 on a Max Tow model.

Weigh the truck at a CAT scale and subtract from the GAWR (front, rear).

That doesn't do a thing to tell a person what the trailer tow capacity is.

Thanks for your responses... But... Every vehicle has a gvwr... Max Weight rating for vehicle. Most vehicles have a GCWR... Combined (with trailer) weight rating. It is not required for mfgs to post on gvwr tag. But... Jeep does assign a max tow load per Vin. That's what I'm looking for. Thanks!

Jeep assigns a Max Payload per VIN and prints it on the door tag. The Tow Rating is broken down by model, engine, transmission, and factory installed Tow Package. The chart is included in some of the Owners Manuals, and has been posted somewhere here a few times.

I tow an E-PRO FD 19 weighing #4000 loaded using my 2024 Mohave and it does very well. Blue Ox anti sway hitch with #600 bars adjusted properly brings the truck close to level. I tow in the Arizona mountains and get 11 to 12 mpg and think it is a good truck if trailer weight is not excessive. I do not know what the actual factory capacity/tow limit is but if somebody knows please post it.

From MY2022 brochure. GAWR won’t tell you your max trailer rating but it’s an equally important metric as you can be within payload and trailer weight spec, yet still be overloading your rear axle.

You won’t find a per VIN breakdown besides what you already saw on your door jamb.

Call your Jeep dealer and give them your VIN number…. If they can’t tell you based on the VIN - they need to close up shop.

Look at it like this, check your payload capacity in the door jamb. Let’s just say it’s 1,000lbs. With any trailer on the market you can expect to have at least 10% tongue weight or as high as 15%! That means you have either 2 passengers or 4 that get deducted from the payload. Whatever is left? Figure at least 10% left over tongue weight then 80% for the weight left over for a trailer. With 4 adults you’re already too close to the 1,000 lbs, but 2 passengers are under 500 lbs average, so the rest is left for tongue weight of about 500-550, that leave a 5,000 trailer. If you have the min factory tow package.
