Pricing has gone insane. I paid 38,000 for my Willy's in '21. How is it Jeeps are going for over 50 - 60 or even 70k these days.

The escalation of car prices in general has gone completely mad.

Oh but I'll just lease it so I can pretend Im paying less.
And at the same time they are doing this they are scratching their heads wondering why they cant sell anything to make room for next years models that are even more expensive. Lol. They better change course quickly or go bankrupt!

I purchased my '23 Mojave for about $12k below sticker and was out the door for well under MSRP. IF I didn't think that this was a good buy, I would have not purchased it. This is a great companion to my other Jeeps and I am glad I did.

My nicely equipped 2022 Rubicon was $49k from autonation in Feb. 2023. Of course, by they time they worked me over, charged taxes, made me take a loan instead of paying cash, added in the typical doodah...I was paying much more. But yeah, sticker price $49k for a close to $60k truck.

What everyone is forgetting is all those “incentives” are null and void when it comes to the high APR’s when financing. There are no actual deals here for the consumer. Whomp Whomp.

Jeep has screwed them selves. The value now is a joke. They produced way too many glads and now they have to play catch-up. They also out priced them. Wait till they try to sell the 24s with those minor changes ? 60,000 plus ? I don’t think so when you could of got a 23 so much cheaper ? Interest rates aren’t going anywhere soon either ? They should of skipped 24 altogether and came out with a 25 late in 24 with some real changes the hurricane, 4xe ,Hemi special edition etc ……Hemi is going away ? Put it in everything if somebody wants it.

Why I been saving up to pay case, or in a possible scenario finance some and pay off early. Then you do come out on top.

well yea, that’s best case scenario. But realistically that’s not the case for most. So Jeep and these dealerships are acting like there are huge discounts and savings but they have to offset MSRP for interest rates to get people to purchase.

The high interest rates led me to not finance it and pay for it outright. I realize not everyone has that as an option, but Whomp Whomp.

I went and purchased a late model 23 Rubi with most of the options I wanted. Traded in my Overland for it. They didn’t give me much on my Overland because they’re selling them for so much less. But the 14k off on the Rubi made up for it all. My Rubi is loaded, shy of cold weather pkg and aux switches. I had to lease it to afford it. I’m hoping the interest rates will turn around and I can refi on a loan with low interest later. If not, then I guess I will turn it in when it’s over. In the meantime, I will enjoy the hell out of my Jeep and get my money’s worth running the trails. Still the most versatile vehicle I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned more than my fair share.

Agreed.

But the 808 state is one of the worst states to buy a car in hands down; cheaper to fly to Cali buy it there and have it shipped and still save about $10k.....and that was back in 2000. I can only imagine it now
Post-pandemic, mostly all dealerships here have a “availability fee”, between $15k and $25k depending on the MRSP. It’s possible to talk out of it. But if you do, then, because they are already being so nice not charging you this insane availability fee, they say they can not give you any other discount even when they have the ongoing nationwide discounts posted on their website.
