that's a GPS vehicle tracker... the dealer I bought mine from had installed one too and was trying to sell me tracking service... got pissed when I declined the service, and insisted they remove all the fees/costs.

You mean the one sitting in my cabinet with the one from my 2020?

Oddly they put those in every vehicle that hits their lot even if it's special ordered and destined for a customer as a sold vehicle. Ironically, they don't even try to sell that service at all other than those on their lot with an added sticker that touts tracking and recovery.
I have to laugh because those devices are so bloody obvious sitting there strapped to the wires next to the OBD port.

Phones are a different matter. Ugh, one reason I turn off a lot of stuff and refuse to install fakebook, instacrap and other software on my phone. It just piles onto the stuff already on the phone by design.

I'm curious - anyone look up those numbers to see what comes up?

nooo... if I'm going to track, I'll use an air-tag. I yanked out the Lo-Jack that the dealer put in.

It would be fun to get a battery in one, and collar it to a coyote...

Sorry, I'm suddenly busy the rest of the year.

Might be a good use for one of Jeep's batteries, though - if you didn't hope to track that critter more than a couple of years.

knit picking here but is jeeps quality control really this bad ? If they can’t get little things right what about the bigger things. Look at the beginning of tire tag info And the top of the tag. Looks like they were running out of ink. Vin tag is the same way. The closer you look the more you find. Don’t get me wrong I love this Jeep , just hope it lasts a while for almost $60,000

Well guys, I’ve enjoyed it. I checked my sticker. Held my breath. Same issues. To say I was devastated is an understatement.
Traded today for a Bronco Sport. The vehicle is pure, unadulterated sh!t, but the sticker is PERFECT. Pure gold. I’ll rest easy this night.

They do a far better job on their flagship, the Wrangler, especially purple ones. Stickers are perfect on purple reign Wranglers.
