I’m so not good at keeping surprises secret. I wonder how this will go..

Few weeks ago I dropped a couple of hints that a Twill Sunrider would be a bad ass Fathers Day / Bday combo present.

Knowing my audience I used iMessage (with links) with my 14 year old Daughter (even though we were sitting in the same room). For my Wife of 15 years I used the tried and true method of random comments in the Gladiator about how nice it would be to just open and close the top at will.

You laughed at the above but today I found this strange and out of place large box with logo facing the wall in the garage:

As far as I’m concerned….I have the best wife and kids ever!

Unless……….One of the them did something really-really bad and I’m just not hip to it yet.. This could be just the ”smooth it over” gift..

Now I have to wait…..I’m not good at waiting.

I know I’m a dude and we’re supposed to stick together. But part of me wishes for them to have gotten an empty Bestop box and put a couple pairs of socks and some underwear in it. Maybe a new tie.

I answered an add on Craigslist a few days ago about paying 50 bucks for an empty bestop box and to fill it with a couple honda Ridgeline parts, wondered where it went

I happened to be the first one home a couple weeks ago. There was a very large box on the front porch with a big old Weber logo. Coincidentally, my previous charcoal grill had rusted out a leg. Guess I’ll see if that box turns up again on Sunday.

There is a weird ritual in my house for gift that shall remain quiet, they get put in the weirdest of places, places no gifts should be. The best part is when they hide gifts for me in my areas and spaces because if you have a pile of boxes on the shelf in the garage, who's to say this one or that one is new.

Work on your OMG face, try gasping silence. Keep the mystery alive. And good work on the hints. I've been dropping bread crumbs about a frontrunner rack for years and nothing other than complaints about how hard it is to pack everything for a trip... well lady, if you had listened to what I was telling you...
