I have a 2021 Gladiator Diesel ... I just installed the Banks igauge ... I will be towing a pop-up A-frame camper [approx. 3300 lbs] ... I am looking for advise on what I should monitor on the gauge ...? I am aware that if I go into my "off-road" screen it will display Engine Temp. Oil Temp. Transmission Temp [and a few others that don't come to memory right now. This is what I have been considering for the 8 separate displays on the gauge :

# 1 - RPM
# 2 - Torque % Actual
# 3 - EGT 1/1 Exhaust Temperature Bank 1 Sensor 1
# 4 - IAT Intake Air Temperature
# 5 - ECT Engine Collant Temperature
# 6 - EOT Engine Oil Temperature
# 7 - ?????
# 8 - REGEN DPF Regen Status

I have not found a Displayable Unit [suggestions welcome] for number #7
I also need to add that I live in Phoenix Az. and will be traveling North on the I-17 towards Flagstaff [in the summer] temps 110º +

PLEASE any and all suggestions on the selections that I have made are welcome .. substitutes are welcome as well & appreciated .. here is a link to Banks Parameter Names ..

I would dump rpm, oil temp, coolant temp. As you already have them. Look for something else.

Your Temps are your most important readings. So, Coolant, Oil, Engine, and EGT are what you want. Everything else is just fluff and gives you more to worry about than you need.

I always had turbo boost up too. I've not used Banks products, always ran Edge, but I would imagine they have a boost derate if a specified temp goes above desired high. That's something you would have to set in the Banks.

Just got mine set up and am still playing with it. I currently have it set to 7 gauge. Top one being EGT. I've read that one is important especially when towing.
Next 2 are regen Status & soot %.
Next 2 are coolant and oil Temp side by side.
Then finally trans Temp and volts.
Yes, I know most of those are factory available on the dash, but with the idash they are right there all the time.
As I learn more I may set up the other pages to reflect different systems such as the fuel etc...
It's a little overwhelming right now as to all the different functions that can be monitored.

I can't help you on what to monitor. I am considering swapping to a diesel and tow the same a liner expedition more or less so I'd love to hear how it does when you actually tow.

Yes it is overwhelming to say the least .. a couple things .. in the list that I copied from Banks for my iGauge .. I did not find any Transmission Temp reading ... I need to call them for some assistance .. I would have thought the gauge offered a way to set up more that just one 8 display setting .. I just may be missing something or ALOT !

Belda ... I would probably revisit my diesel purchase .. this derating issue has me a little spooked ... I don't have any idea what problems jeep has with their gas engines .. but I don't know if I have made the right decision .. just give it some more thought .. Glenn in Phx.

Have you been having a lot of derating issues yourself or just whats been reported?

The gas engines big Achilles heel is the frustrating lack of low end torque. I'm honestly considering either a diesel gladiator or a 4xe wrangler at this point. If the 4xe could be regeared I'd probably go that way, but since it can't I've really been thinking of going diesel.

Just curious, what are you towing (box trailer, low profile trailer like a pop up etc.) weight, speed, grade and are you watching the oil temps.

I have seen at-least one other person install a bypass oil setup with a 900cfm cooling fan on an aftermarket oil cooler…. I get that it’s a new truck and you shouldn’t have to add anything….. but it could help. ?

No I have not .. but I have not towed with it as of yet .. but I am really not liking what is being reported .. diesels [at least what I have been told ] are the towing machines .. going up grades unaffected .. that is kind of what I was expecting .. but now it seems I will be watching multiple temperatures and trying to keep them under control so I don't end up in a derate ..

It is an a-frame pop-up ... I'll just have to see what type of driving I have to do .. it certainly seems that I just won't be getting in the gladiator and driving home paying attention to ONLY the road .. we will see.
