People with my diagnosis are denied drivers licenses in parts of the EU. In the UK, you are supposed to tell them about it - and you can be fined hefty if you are in an accident.I don’t drive fast because I’m running late, I drive fast because I like to drive fast. But I’m not an aggressive driver, when I was working I would get to work 20-30 minutes early every.
In the US, it disqualifies me from military service. (although dang, my youngest son and I can both shoot the tip off a wood match at a good distance).
He got an honorable discharge - he wasn't supposed to be in the Navy, but somehow got in. (My other son told me later that doctors can be bought - but he wouldn't say another word about it)
Luckily my own driving has mellowed with age and time. When I was a teen, the magistrate and most of the troopers in my area knew me by name.
