I don’t drive fast because I’m running late, I drive fast because I like to drive fast. But I’m not an aggressive driver, when I was working I would get to work 20-30 minutes early every.
People with my diagnosis are denied drivers licenses in parts of the EU. In the UK, you are supposed to tell them about it - and you can be fined hefty if you are in an accident.
In the US, it disqualifies me from military service. (although dang, my youngest son and I can both shoot the tip off a wood match at a good distance).
He got an honorable discharge - he wasn't supposed to be in the Navy, but somehow got in. (My other son told me later that doctors can be bought - but he wouldn't say another word about it)
Luckily my own driving has mellowed with age and time. When I was a teen, the magistrate and most of the troopers in my area knew me by name.

The guy in the big-tired JT didn't know what he was doing. I suppose he thought he could use the larger size and weight of his truck to smash the other driver into the wrong lane. Or maybe he thought the Highlander driver would veer out of the way at the least second when he saw what was happening. But his lifted, large tire JT gave him a disadvantage, instead making the low and fairly hefty Highlander hit him at a leverage point and self-pit as someone mentioned earlier. Amazing thought pattern of that driver though...guy pulls in front of him, somewhat cutting him off...reaction is immediately to try to run him off the road at the risk of damage to the Jeep and potential loss of life of the other driver? Wow.

I don't even understand the Jeep driver's hurry to get back in the lane so quickly. What a stupid thing to do.

Maybe read the thread again. Innocent driver died.

Sadly too many idiots, mean drivers, people texting while driving, staring at cell phones, watching tik-tok videos, reckless driving, etc... while driving on the roads these days. Didn't used to be like this. Used to be just in the big cities, but now in the medium cities and interstate highways now also. I was stationed in Hawaii years ago. Terrible traffic, but everyone drove "Aloha". Friendly. Calm. It was awesome. That person in front of you with the turn signal on may be your Auntie, so brake a bit and let her in. We'll all get home sooner if we work together. I wish everyone could drive Aloha.

I see crap like this everyday and I live in a rural area commuting 45 minutes to a small "city" that is also a tourist trap town because its along Lake Michigan and has great beaches. So mix commuters with the tourist at 630-7 in the morning and it quickly becomes every man for himself it seems.

Amazes me the crap I see even here and the traffic is not even that bad. It's just hot headed people in a hurry for no reason. I literally had someone get out of there car at a red light because I changed lanes. Didn't cut him off or nor did I even do something stupid, apparently me changing lanes to make my turn to the grocery store and going the speed limit (An area where I know the police patrol heavily.) was enough to trigger him.

I half-jokenly always tell my boss I need hazard pay, my commute is going to kill me someday. Luckily there are some backwoods two-tracks and side dirt roads that I can take half way home to get off the highway in the summer.
