If I want to move my tires out a little, are those called "tire spacers"?

I'm a but ignorant on what they are called.

Is it also something I can do myself?

They are actually called wheel spacers you can order from Amazon or any of the off road stores. Make sure you get the correct pattern. One tip remove the clip that holds the wheel on to the rotor this will keep the spacer flush with your wheel.

+1 for Spidertrax.

Regardless of which brand, go quality (like @Renegade said). This isn't something I'd go cheap on. I've seen one too many pics of stripped lug bolts on the cheap-o spacers. A quality set is going to set you back close to $100/axle.

Another approach is to use Mojave or aftermarket wheels and no spacers.

CJ pony has a good brand they sell. I'm using them and used them on my JKU. I know a bunch of people who have used them with no issues

All the ones on quadratrac website are 1 3:4”. Is that pretty typical if you plan to keep stock rims but want to have the extra space for tires?
