My original membership here was from owning a '20 JTR. It was my first Jeep & first truck.
Due to a combination of life and parts issues, I gave up "Stacy's Mom" (my wife's affectionate name for her) for a '21 Silverado TB, then a Golf R But... whatever.
Fast forward to recently when the need for a truck began to return and prices have become more realistic. Honestly, a JTR wasn't even in the thoughts, but what was is either very unreliable or stupid expensive.
Trucks I was consider where: Colorado TrailBoss, Silverado LT TB, Tundra (v8). But... all of these trucks has stupid amounts of real world issues that I just couldn't pull the trigger on one.
I saw a few JTRs for reasonable prices pop up and also coming Cert. Pre-Preowned.
Then, I saw the one I bought. The person seemed to love this Jeep; it's very nice and seems well kept! Anyone here the prior owner? It was a NOVA truck.
'22 JTR, 35k miles, CPO, matched roof panels to the Sarge Green, and best of all, a few extras. Winch, Decked Sys, Yak. rack.
For a price that I think is very reasonable at $37k. I was upside down in my trade; so finding a truck that I would feel comfortable just buying for asking or close to asking, I'd feel good about it.
I got the dealership and it was loaded beyond what the pics showed. ARB Dual Air comp, Factory Rock rails and ext rails, Decked sys, Yak.HD Rack, Yak. Storage, Warn 12k winch, ARB diff covers, rear spring bags, and more... I tallied up an estimate for all of the extras and it's easily $6k +.
Anyway, I'm happy to be back in a JTR and I likely won't use all of the parts on this Jeep as a permanent part of the build, but I'll be able to make some good use of most of the parts on our future adventures.
