Home made in dash mount. Home made Antenna mount. I mocked the antenna mount off of a similar design already available on the market. All Metal is 10-11 gauge.
President Electronics -"Bill", 40 chnl. 10 weather. No built in SWR meter. Awesome small CB.
President Electronics- "Maryland", 5/8 wave antenna. Whip. There is no way this mount on this flimsy cowl side could hold a 5 foot Firestik. I tried.
Had a CB shop install the 90 degree elbow on the microphone mount. 10 bucks.
I installed a temp SWR meter for about 4 weeks but this thing took 20 minutes to get it to .75 SWR. Has a 3 foot coax under dash and out the cowl.
Used in a 6.5 hour off road group ride and it was flawless. AOAA park in Penna.
Ain't much room in these front cabins. I like my set up.
Need to get the mic cord or mic mount relocated. Hits right knee.
