I'll try and be brief and make this easy in list form
2020 Gladiator is currently sitting at dealership. Need advice.
Initial issue was jeep did NOT auto recognize me and unlock door.
Hit unlock on fob and it lets me in.
push start button and says: key fob not found. Easy, battery prob bad. $10.
Ill wait for wifey with spare key. Same issue. So now it must be something with my car battery or whatever controls the ignition.
Call dealer. They say push key agaisnt the start button. Nothing
.In mean time I trickle charge my battery.....It starts but seemed hesitant.
Drove to get new car battery thinking that would do it...Go to turn Jeep off....It wont turn off! Crazy. Button has no effect.
Call dealer. I can pull fuel pump fuse or remove battery cable. Or drive it to them.
Dealer gets my jeep.
They put new battery in. Not the issue
.
They say its the node board for ignition...like 150 plus labor plus reprogram both keys. Not the issue. Jeep still will not turn off.
Today. The disaster...They say my back window has a seal leak and the (receiver? transponder?) Has water damage.
Recommend new back window $1500 and new receiver like $1300. Water damage from leak?
So I'm at like $3500 for a keyfob issue
Can someone clarify the parts involved and what I can do to talk with dealer?
Reseal window instead of replace? ASk for proof the receiver has water damage? COmplain the first repair of 900 was a waste?
Thx in advance. Mike
