I have a set of side panels coming in from Builtright. I looked at them all and decide that using the trail rail mount was the best option for me. Good luck on your decision.

Quick question. Can you haul a sheet of plywood with these Mole panels installed? I realize that the purpose of the panels is to strap your stuff to them, in which case, there would be no room to lay a sheet of plywood in there but if the panels are clean and bare?
You can still carry plywood. you will need to trim your support board due to the molle but that’s only if you had cut a 2x4 or something to lay across the wheel wells.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns with our MOLLE panels. After reading through all the comments I wanted to chime in on a few items that you are considering. Our panels are all aluminum for lighter weight and no rusting. The hardware is stainless. While black would look better, it rusts, and that is not an acceptable option for us. I designed the panels to fit under the rail using bends, not secondary brackets, for optimal strength and they do work with the Diamondback cover. As for the bed light hole. When I was designing the panels I tested keeping a hole for the light but in the end I decided not to have the hole for a few reasons. The lights are angled to shine into the bed. The panels that have a hole directly in front of the light is not helping much as the light does not shine straight forward where the hole is. With all of the MOLLE holes in the panels there is very little difference in the lighting. And, since the whole point of having a MOLLE panel is to mount gear, once items are mounted, the light is being blocked, so I chose to have more usable space on the panel vs a cutout for the light. We also offer the option of a full lower panel (for either side) or a lower panel with a cutout for the bed outlet. If you don't have the outlet, you can choose a full lower panel and not lose mounting space for the cutout if it is not needed. Oh, and NO driliing

I am a Newbie, my first truck is a Mojave which I just got 6 weeks ago so please excuse my ignorant question...Like many here, I recently went out and got a compressor, shovel, traction panels, hatchet, etc. to mount in the bed "somehow". I read on your sight that the cab side panels "require no drilling", I like that.

Q1)Is the full panel set up for the cab side compatible with the Mopar rail system on my truck?

Q2) And as far as "molly", does that mean it will only mount items which have a molly interface? Practically speaking isn't it just a matrix of holes (although I know it is a common standard), where you should be able to use plain old straps to mount stuff too? Do you guys sell or have a recommendation on which "straps" to use?

Thanks,

When the time comes (love the features with all of the various brands) I will be going with 813 Fab, aluminum for the weight aspect (primary) and no nasty rust to deal with for the panels or hardware. Plus it appears their customer service is spot on and made in the USA.

I'll pay more everyday for USA products........support the economy and small business FTW!
Thanks! Without good customer service our products mean nothing. We will strive to give you the best service possible. and yes, Made in the USA

Hey, yes, no drilling. You are correct, you can use just about anything to strap items to the panel. I have some adapter plates to help mount larger items but most everything can mount to the panels using QuickFist type mounts or just screws. We have the MOLLE grid, but there is also a smaller slot grid in between the larger holes for mounting items as well.

Yes, the panels will work with or without the trail rails. If you have the trail rails, all of the panels will mount under the rails so that the rails stay open for bed racks, bed covers, etc.

Sounds good Jeremy...A few more questions:

So I take it the full cab side molly set up on your site is for the Gladiator (don't see a pull down on the web page to chose a truck type)?

Also, if there is no drilling, how does this thing mount to the bed?

When will the instillation instructions for the full cab side be available on line? And do printed instructions come in the box now?

Also, is there a phone number we can call with questions either before or after the sale?

Thanks in advance,
-Joe

Hi Joe,
Thanks for catching my error, I had forgot to upload the installation instructions. They are online now. The panels are only for the Gladiator. It is the only set I currently offer.

There are also printed instructions with every order. If you have the trail rail you need to remove it. The panel lines up directly with the holes in the rail and bed for installation.

I will message you my contact information.

Thanks! Jeremy

@JcrOffroad at the time because I wanted something that mounted behind the trail rail to give the most flexibility. As it turns out, the RSi Smartcap clamps can be moved around so it wouldn't have made any difference. The panels have been great, no complaints and they fit with the Bedslide (barely).

If you want to stop them from banging around with heavy items as mentioned in an earlier post, you can bend the tabs inward after you mount them behind the trail rail. When you install the panels, they will sit tight against the side of the bed with some pressure. I don' t get any noise whatsoever from them even with the Hi-Lift.

It looks like the @BuiltRight and @813 Fabrication & Design panels are high quality as well, not sure you can go wrong with any of them.

Recovery boards I ended up making a couple aluminum cross brackets for my bed rack. Purchased the mounting system from Exittrax. Quick fists on everything else

Quick fists, molle bags and some aluminum stock are your friends.

Additionally, most of the molle panel manufacturers have a few custom mounts. I'm using the @JcrOffroad Hi-Lift mount.
