Installing the Coverking Gladiator Headliner

I've been very happy with my cover king. I installed mine a little different. I covered the panels with dynomat and then used gorilla spray headliner adhesive. The added weight from the dynomat was minimal. There was definitely a slight drop in wind noise. The echoing when talking inside has decreased greatly and the music sounds so much better!

If anyone is on the fence about this product I would suggest moving forward and installing it. You'll be happy with the results and it makes the interior more comfortable and look better as well.

The orange tape was in place for the adhesive overspread.

How hard do you think it would be to apply the back portion without taking the roof off? I have a Camp King canopy camper and I can’t take my roof off without taking the camper off.

I did think on this at the time. If you remove the sound bar, probably. It would kill your shoulders.

It's been holding up great with absolutely no issues. I would suggest dry fitting the headliner on and then pulling out back on one side, spreading the backing, and the pressing on the headliner. You want to keep pressure on the headliner for at least 30 seconds for a good bond. Something flexible with weight would be good or you could use a towel that is folded a few times. You can spray, fit the portion of the headliner in place, put the towel down, and pee on the towel. You want to be able to disperse the pressure into the peaks and valleys without smashing down the material too much.

It's not hard, just take your time.

Yikes. I wouldn't try it. It would be very frustrating to handle that large, flexible, price of material while trying to glue it in place straight. It's going to be on there forever, might as well spend a day taking everything off to do it right instead of "do it easy". You will kick yourself later and think "I should have just taken the roof off" while you are the mistakes made everyone you get in your truck

I have the Freedom tops and those still come off fine once I take my roof rack off. The camper is not so easy. I Would need a forklift or some kind of crane/pulley system and a shop to do it. It would be a huge endeavor. I guess I could get the Mopar or something else so I don’t have to remove it.
