I had the color cluster in my 2020 Overland.
I now have a 2023 Sport S Max Tow with a black and white cluster.
Can I swap the black and white cluster with a color one?
I just got my recall on the cluster and if I could upgrade to color that would be the time to do it.

Thanks
Bob

Been done before with success. You want to try and find one off another Gladiator close to your year model as possible. Getting one off a JL Wrangler may be hit or miss as that is what another member did recently and had problems with display issues on the head unit and of certain functions.

FWIW, I recently went from color cluster on my 22 Gladiator to a base black/white cluster on my new 2025 Gladiator and debated getting a color cluster but decided against it as I realized all the same info is still there. My only niggle with it is when the cruise control is turned on, the odometer disappears until cruise is turned off

If the day comes that I find the 7"cluster that would of came in mine I will probably try it again but no more guessing . I have one $250.00 failed Cluster experiment sitting in a box now.

It seems like it's been done:

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/upgraded-instrument-cluster-3-5-to-7-easy.55471

I researched doing the same in my '24 Sport S with the black and white cluster, but, I kind of don't mind the old school fuel/temp gauges. Plus, every car of mine going back ~15 years has had a similar cluster layout (speedo, tach, and center "multi-informational display" screen), so it's feels normal to me. The only thing is that it does look a little out of place juxtaposed to the gigantic 12.3" infotainment screen.

Anyways, I don't know what part number to look for, sorry. I'm new to the Mopar world and good grief is the parts catalog convoluted.

Off topic, but as an example, I literally couldn't find the part number for my OEM wheels (I am considering getting a 5th to do a full rotation on tires). You would think that would be really easy to find, nope. I finally used Google reverse image search and found them on a 3rd party retailer site, part number 04755591AA, which doesn't exist in the various Mopar online parts catalog sites if you try to search by vehicle (make/model/year/trim). It only shows up if you directly search the part number, which kind of defeats the purpose of a catalog to look up parts...

So Talked to one of our local dealers and here is what I was told but anyone who wants to chime in would be great.

They have to perform the recall as specified by FCA and swap the Monochrome for the Monochrome, not surprising, however they can order the part and plug in the 7" display version but FCA wants a 7" color core back or a $1500 core charge and it would void all warranties on the Jeep.

Thats the question, my guess is they are going off of Jeep Warranty Statement - 2024 Edition - Section 3.1 Sub Section B. Which states that any disconnecting, tampering, or altering the odometer voids all warranties. But skipping over the *Unless performed by a repair technician following the legal requirements for repairing or replacing odometers.

Ok, yeah I can see the legalise in that then. That being said, plenty of people have been doing their own cluster swaps and so long as you get it programed with the correct mileage at swap out, really nobody cares.

FWIW, I am on my 4th Gladiator and first one with the monochrome and really do not mind it. Unless you are wanting the navigation turn by turn info to show up, the monochrome cluster has all the info as the color one does.

I actually don't have Nav, one of those things I am working on as well. Lots of odd stuff with the 2024s :P

I noticed that also. I do think a prior year cluster would even work 100% Would need to be a 2024+ cluster.

I have since bought a 7" cluster from a 2022 Gladiator. I have run it for a couple weeks to be sure everythink works fine which it does. I will swap the 3.5 back in while I get the 7" odometer corrected . Any one have a Wrangler who would like a 7", I have one for a 22 with 11,000 miles on the odometer I will let go for civilized offer .

I finally have a 7" instrument cluster installed. Bought from LKQ and I installed it for a month to be sure everything worked as it should . I calculated the mileage and sent it to The Instrument Cluster Store in PA. mileage_correction.htm to be corrected . I put it in the mail Friday afternoon and had it back all corrected on Wednesday. Now being they were so quick I have to drive a little bit to get my actual mileage to catch up with the the new cluster then reinstall. I am a happy customer . I still have a 2022 7" cluster for a Wrangler if anyone has a need for one .

Exactly - why and how would it "void all warranties" - that's bunk. So if a wheel sensor goes out in warranty, or a water pump failed - it wouldn't be covered? Naw, can't believe that.
MAYBE all warranties related to the cluster.......... but the drivetrain and other parts?
