My JK got ducked once, my wife was driving it that day because I had to take her truck in for service. She got home and told me there was a duck on my Jeep, she threw it away! Guess the wife/girlfriend thing works! Lol, last time I let her drivee my Jeep!

Maybe your dissing JL drivers with that license plate on a JT………..
No doubt! i Actually pulled those plates off my former xlt when sold and rolled them to this rig to save the price of a lunch, because the Dmv didn’t have any other cool letter combinations.

Yes, that duck was certainly suspect.

Let your wife drive the JT, it'll get ducked....
Problem is she won’t let me drive her wrangler …. Even though I ordered it and surprised her, so I guess she can’t drive my gladiator anymore

I was always getting compliments on my JT but not a duck in sight......then I got 2 in one week. No rhyme or reason other than as my build became more custom vs. stock that I started getting the ducks. I can honestly say I have only ducked modded Jeeps passing on the ones I have received. I feel like I am paying the compliment on my Jeep forward by passing on a duck I have received to someone else's ride for a great theme or set of mods......is this wrong??

I’ve had my JT for 12 months / 20k miles with no ducks. It bugged me for a bit but not so much anymore. It’s Gobi with a huge basket on the back - looks great but also utilitarian. I don’t think many people besides me find it “pretty”.

And let’s be honest, most ducks are probably given by girls. So if your truck isn’t classically built to fit a certain aesthetic, it’s probably less likely to be ducked.

Ill take a 6 pack instead of the duck
Although I too am duckless and feeling some sort of way about it, I have to admit I have not given out any ducks....

However the 6 pack thing has me thinking.....

I guess I am too old, or owned jeeps way too many years. First in 73. I just don't even want to pretend to understand the duck shift and hope I never meet the person who started it.

Can i respectfully ask someone to explain how the duck thing works? Haha….do you keep the duck or pass it on? Or you buy another duck and duck someone else?

From what I've seen, most people keep the ducks, but you're more than free to pass it along.

Ducking is a fairly new thing that came with Instagram and Facebook, and its a mixed bag of people who like it and people who don't, seriously I've seen vids of a guy melting the things with a blow torch on the hood of an old M715.

Personally, I say its cool to see people trying to show that they liked your Jeep, and like Jeeps in general, and think your build is cool, and want to share the love for the community. Gotta keep the good vibes going, especially nowadays.

No ducks for me yet, but I've only had the truck for 4 months, I'll have to keep a stash and share when I get a chance.
