I'm shocked you believed a commercial..... You need to start treating all commercials like t-shirts that read "World Greatest Dad". Or how about "1 Hour Cleaners", it's just the name, doesn't mean it will only be 1 hour.
I didn't believe the commercial which is why I started to check out their claim. After all there are plenty of people here that have issues, some serious, as do I. My 21 JT is the worst POS Jeep I've ever owned. Dealer wants to claim off road damage to avoid warranty work when there is NO evidence of it. Latest safety issue is metal fatigue on the bracket that holds to front sway bar to the frame. It ripped right off of the frame, dealer refused to repair, no evidence of abuse or damage. Factory lift with 35s, Rubicon. My personal mechanic welded back to frame but said he would not trust it to drive any distance or ever do any off reading with. Been in the shop more than 60 days since new. Working on Federal Lemon Law suit now. So the only #1 I can see is #1 convertible truck because mine has sucked in every other category including towing ability.

Sorry for the rant but all of my 36 previous Jeeps combined didn't have the problems this one has had.

You'll need a eiff
Saw a Jeep ad on TV for the Gladiator claiming it was the #1 mid-sized truck. I thought WOW can that be true with all the unsold inventory I've seen on lots then again the $10,000+ discounts maybe it's true.
The dealership bought them and it's on them to be sold.

I think the gladiator bone stock on the lot with no lift kit or tires is ugly. I really do I've had a sport for 5 years and I now I have a Rubicon Jeep not the gladiator. So I've had two Jeeps in 10 years I love my Rubicon Jeep and both of them had lift kits and wheels and tires put on. I think a stock Rubicon looks good but a stock gladiator is ugly without lifting it up with wheels and tires. But what you can buy gladiator for You can damn near by an F-150

Advertisements by law have to be "true" but it is what they actually say, not how you interpret it, that makes the difference. They also cherry pick the data.

Isn't the F150 #1 in recalls these days. If they had to put that in an ad it would be "Ford is rated #1 in dealer service".

Well when you sell more vehicles the more you if you have more sales then you are going to have more recalls you know if someone sells just for example say 10,000 of something and someone sells 100,000 or something then yeah you're going to have more returns or problems If you sold more So yeah they're going to have more recalls they're selling more trucks makes more sense that's just part of anything. Just like if you're lucky enough to get into Walmart and sell your product I had a friend had a product they made put a patent on it and got in Walmart Walmart told him okay we're going to buy 200,000 units of your product we think 3% will come back returns or defective You have to agree to take them back That's why when you take something back to the store like Walmart don't have no problems with it They know they're the people that sold it to them have to agree to take it back or write it off because they sell so many well Ford selling so many trucks they're going to have recalls cuz they've sold more

The old saying beauty is in the eyes of the beholder comes into play when it comes to JL's or JT's. I must agree the bone stock Sport, Willys or Overland models were hit with the ugly stick from the get-go. But even my Mojave got the stink eye from my co-workers when I bought it.

Only after I parted with it is when they were polite enough to mention how ugly they thought it was.

For me, a love/hate design that was charming enough to appreciate.

If this was in reply to my comment about Ford being #1 in recalls, it is the number of recalls issued, not the number of recalled trucks, that is making them #1. But I suppose if most of these recalls are about poor build quality or badly made parts, not poor design, the more they produce the higher the chance that they'll make some incorrectly or with subpar components.

But unless you need to tow a yacht, why would you want to? Big, but invisible, no character at all. As we all know, number 1 can be subjective. I know, I'm being a homer here :) but even at 60k would rather have the JT, at least in the Mojave garb.

I would like to meet the buyer that based their sole reason for buying a particular vehicle based on it's ranking on some list without any other consideration. I bet they lick windows and listen to Taylor Swift on repeat.

I guess because I've had nothing but big trucks all my life until I got my Jeep after I broke my back I didn't need my toy haulers and my boats anymore I mean I'm talking 38 ft scarab powerboat. And big 34 ft toy haulers so I've always had to have power strokes big boats big trucks I just never would have a small truck You can't put anything in the bed hardly at all You can't off-road and keep up with a regular Jeep the tailgate hits from what I've seen people trying to keep up with this I'd rather have the cabin space in the back than the bed space but that's why they make it so people can choose

That don't make much sense at all here's the reason I had one of my duties out of five powerstrokes I had Don't think you'd pull this with a gladiator 12,000 lb sitting on the trailer empty then add 300 gallons of fuel. Doesn't matter if the gladiator can pull a camper say that's 4000 lb anytime you get something bigger behind the vehicle pulling it If you're real close to the tow capacity even with electric brakes when you got to stop fast it's going to be a weird feeling not to mention when it gets windy when it gets windy when I had my toy hauler it's still would push me over all the road on windy days I could imagine having a big camper that weighs 4,000 or $4,500 lb behind a gladiator on a windy day what it would do to the gladiator and don't tell me it does nothing I know I towed all my life and I'm in my '60s

So anyone that has a big vehicle doesn't need it they're just a Taylor Swift fan is what you're saying Man you might want to read what you wrote that makes no sense You're accusing everyone because they have a big truck but they're not pulling anything big I never Taylor Swift fan. Some of us like to go out in the ocean with our boats jump wakes and not spill our beer at 80 miles an hour instead of a little boat bouncing you all over the place and you wouldn't take a little boat in the ocean or lake Michigan or Texoma because it would sink you

I guess I should have bought it gladiator to pull this too I didn't need my big truck garage in the back with our RZRs headed to the sand dunes. Like I said what a ridiculous comment

No clue where you are coming from and to have quote me twice with two different replies.

I took your comment about more or less people that drive bigger trucks and gladiators don't need them and lick windows and like Taylor Swift. That's the way I took your comment like anything bigger than gladiator most people driving the trucks like that don't need them
