It was a hard top, no headliner. I didn't drive on the highway, I got up to about 45. Disclaimer I had all the windows down and it was very nice.
The steering wasn't the tightest I've ever felt but it's a Jeep. It wasn't bad at all

Are you talking about a wrangler or gladiator that you drove?

A loaded JL Rubi unlimited.
I’m planning a test drive late next week at Jim Marsh. Did you happen to drive a hard top version and drive > 60 mph? I’ve been stalking the sister site and loose steering and road noise were my top concern.
I drove a JLUR with 3.6/auto/hard top/headliner a few months ago on freeway ~70MPH. There was a little bit of road noise, but no worse than my WK2 with roof racks and BFG KO2s. Drove much better than a friend's JK I tried out a few years ago. Didn't feel steering was loose.

Yeah they sure do drive nice. A world better than what I'm currently driving.

What does it mean when the wife says “sure, go for it. I dare you.”? Asking for a friend.

That’s sounds loaded, bro. It could mean go for it, then she will go buy something too, which would be great! Then again, it could be one of those, go for it, and your sleeping in the back yard kind of things, which wouldn’t be so good. I’m not sure. You need to ask another test question, to really get where she’s going with the situation.

On one of the reviews the guy said steering was a bit tighter and not so loose as the regular Wrangler.

Ohh good find. I had not seen that... but that is good to know. Hopefully they resolved the issues reported on the JLs.

They also said they didn't feel as edgy driving higher speeds in the gladiator because it was longer. It's in one of the reviews Jay posted
