This is going to sound silly, but I'd suggest letting the dealer do the battery replacement if the truck is under warranty. I did a battery replacement carefully on one of my fobs, but the two halves wouldn't mate tightly afterwards. See this thread for the same issue occurring with Wranglers: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/key-fob-splitting-open.44423/
There was a similar thread in this forum, but I can't find it right now.
Truck was under warranty, but the dealer wouldn't honor it, and Jeep Cares didn't. The dealer claimed I must have damaged it in disassembling it, but everything was completely intact when I opened it up to move the internals to an AJT fob.

Thanks all. I'll get the dealer to replace it. Truck's only 6 months old to me. I leased it brand new in March of 24. Looks like stelantis use's cheap batteries even in the keyfob. I got 7 to 8 years out of the one's on the Jeep liberty. Thanks again.

Proper quality control is nearly impossible on those batteries. I get remote batteries put in at Batteries Plus because they install them and get a lifetime warranty for ~ $20.
IIRC im on my 4th battery in 3.5 years

If your remote battery is dying you should also have limited range for locks and remote start if you have one. I have had this message come up randomly and it continues to work fine in subsequent days. If its still under warranty then get the dealer to change it because , why not. But if not I would hide and wait to see if its a persistent problem
