In my opinion you’re dodging a bullet. The dealer is so likely to mess up your Jeep with “free oil changes”, performed by inexperienced lube techs.

Agreed. I wish that they would just give me filters and we could call it even. I will even supply my own Mobil 1.

I did mine in the driveway yesterday. With a fumoto valve, it took me all of 15-20 minutes. And I’m slow. Autozone usually has mopar filters as well. I always buy two so I have one next time.

You gave me an idea. I should just go in and tell them I never used a single free change. I’ll take my three free filters though. Thanks.

Not sure got the run around from Mopar, jeep wave, and jeep chat. called 5 different people and they all forwarded me and or gave me the number i had to call and kept passing the bill. even went to jeep wave 2x even though they supposedly arent open on weekends... @JeepCares I would like some help... Had to shell out 286.47. I think they did 9 quarts. 50 bucks for the rotation too....

When the JL was new they constantly overfilled. Once I had to have them empty some out as they did 6 qts. I was shocked they couldn’t get that right.

And they over filled you as I see you where billed 6qts you only take 5
Billed amount doesn't mean that's what they put in. Just means they had to open a 6th quart, not that they used it all.

You'll get billed for an entire quart even if they only used a little bit of it. The amount they bill you for doesn't matter as long as the dipstick reads correctly.

Remember that this is what they are charging Jeep for. So if they can make an extra half of a quart on every oil change, then that either goes right into profit, or some employee takes advantage of the inventory overage for his own oil change.

Why does everyone instantly take a known practice and make it into some kind of weird conspiracy?
