Stuff like this is good to fire up engineer brains. That being said, I can think of two words... military application. Just like fighter pilot led drone swarms. You could have Battalion of Armored vehicles navigating the terrain. The first company that perfects it can right their own check.

Which makes perfect sense. Jeep owners tend to be pretty fanatical about their Jeeps and will put up with just about any issue. It's almost like a captured market. Better to spend money luring in new customer base.

I'm gonna get fragged for this but hear me out:

This isn't to make it so your average mall crawler with an angry grill and under carriage lights on 22" wheels can now do King of the Hammers.

This is a test bed for next-level problem solving in AI. So far, the majority of autonomous stuff has been primarily for highway usage, where there's lines for cameras to follow and radar can keep safe distances, and although the tech is advanced, it isn't really a challenge.

With something like this, the possibilities open up to more real world AI-based driving. Think of the implications in urban environments with heavy, unpredictable traffic, pedestrians and obstacles, or farming where terrain is varied more than a table-flat field. And @Shopshirt nailed it- military applications are limitless and the company that gets it right will print money.

Just keep it the fuck off my vehicles.
