Sometimes parking next to other Jeeps isn't fun. Parked beside these today at the grocery. While I was in the store, the owners of the Wrangler Rubicon walked by and my wife heard the guy say, "looks like that Prius goes off road more than that".

So just because I washed my Jeep, they assume we don't go off road. Assumptions are a bitch. I've been wheeling since the '80s. My wife and I go out about twice a month on logging trails, Fire trails, and the dunes.

So, if you're on here dude... Bad guess.

Morons like that should be thankful that thousands of people buy Wranglers and Gladiators for other purposes than crawling up the side of a cliff or going through mud 4 feet deep. If other people didn't buy Jeeps, they'd not have their precious Jeep. It's the non-rock crawlers keeping them in business. (and that comes from dealers)

I find it interesting the extremes in Jeep people - some are welcoming, anything is fine, just so it's a Jeep, others, and there's a whole lot of 'em, judge owners and vehicles according to their own tastes, likes or hates (I'd use the word "dislikes" but in those cases, it's well beyond that)
If it's not lifted 4", 40" tires, and muddy, the owner is an ass and the Jeep a piece of crap.

I parked next to a couple who were getting out of a 90s Cherokee. They were long time Jeep people and talked of the other Jeeps they have had, and others they have now - CJ7, and earlier, and other Cherokees they'd take off-roading and so on. It was obvious they were a couple who just liked Jeeps, and any Jeep was good.
They farmed and mentioned they had thought of getting a Gladiator for trips, minor hauling and towing - he said he had a big Ram at home for the extra heavy lifting but would prefer a Jeep so they had considered something like I had.

All really good points. I've always been in the "love all Jeeps" camp. And, you're right that there are many many more people buying Jeeps as their daily driver, than those that actually go off-road.

I went to the store tonight and saw this TJ again. I figured it must be an employee's since this is the 3rd time it was there. As I was leaving, an employee who was a woman in her 50's came to the front door and yelled teasingly to me, "Mine's still cooler!" I smiled and said, "I'll give you that!"
I drove away but then realized, I should duck her Jeep so I went back and gave her a Pirate Duck.
I thought the sticker that says, "In my Jeep Boys ride Bitch" was hilarious!
