Well, had my gladiator for 2 months. Tonight I was running an errand and on the driver side “bang” sounded like it got hit with a baseball bat. Then I heard metal hit the pavement. When I parked I saw the damage. Not sure what hit me, we were on a 45mph road and it was either flung up off the road or came off a car that was next to me. They didn’t stop and probably didn’t know. The outline looks like the shape of a brake pad.

the really crappy part is it punched a hole in the rear door. Luckily no car accident just some collateral damage from some form of road debris.

I think the only fix for that is a door replacement. But as for the steel B pillar. Man idk if a body shop is going to get that back to new, thats a real bad spot for damage :-(

I was thinking the same thing. Figured they may replace the rear door. I was wondering if they can replace the body panel on the pillar, there are seams below the doors at about the middle of each door, so kind like and upside down “T”. Aside from pulling the interior apart, I wouldnt have the slightest idea if it’s removable.

whatever the heck hit me, it scared the crap out of me and my daughter.

Possible to replace rear door, fix the rest ,paint doors and blend into the the fender and box then clear coat the entire side to make it match, what a bummer. Good luck ?

Imo. They will replace the door. Fix the pillar then blend paint.

its possible although taking it apart tht far might put it in the total category. Just my uneducated thought seeing so many others have that happen. At least nobody got hurt!

Considering we're talking about a 2023 Rubicon, that's not even close to being totaled. One of my best friends owns a truck repair shop, and I have seen them repair damaged pillars/rails worse than that many times. The rear door will need a new shell transferring over the interior trim panel. Relatively easy fix for a competent shop.......

The B pillar is steel vs aluminum for the doors. They can work that B pillar like nothing ever happened.
