Sadly, two of the missing were found, unable to escape, still in their pickup truck in 25 feet of cold water.
It's now a clean-up effort as it's too dangerous for recovery crews to go into the mess down there, shifting debris and all for further "recovery".

imagine being on break during the nightshift, then this shit happens. just straight heart breaking. a lot of guys i know including myself use to pick up night shifts in construction for the extra pay to help things squeeze by. working 60 plus hours a week, that 10 min nap in truck. That's your only slice of peace and to have it be your final is just cruel to degree I can barely stomach. And to think the owners of that boat will just be fined at most. I hope there's something in place to cover the families of those workers. And i'm sorry for the poor bastards who made it, survivors guilt is gonna suck something awful. My Dad and Aunt still struggle with theirs. Pretty sure the guy that got hospitalized passed away yesterday.

It is a tragedy all around. Almost nobody wakes up to start their day thinking it is going to be their last.

I am in Law Enforcement. We see it all the time. "But I just live down the street!" "I have to get to work!" "You are just causing problems blocking this road!"

Oh the temptation to say, "You are right! Go ahead!"

I'd bet dollars to donuts that JT was driven by the spouse of one of the missing workers.
and that dude who was running down the road. that was a man who doesn't give a fuck about anything right now

I live about 15 minutes from the Key bridge.........I was on vacation in Orlando when this incident happened. Sad event for sure....thankfully the Captain of the vessel made the a mayday call when he did and the MTA police did their jobs to prevent more fatalities. So, as bad as this situation was......it could have been worse.......we've seen the videos leading up to the moment the bridge dropped. So again, cheers to the MTA that made shit happen at a moments notification.

Sucks for the men just doing their job in the middle of the night. So RIP to them

The worker that was hospitalized was released yesterday.

I live near the Key bridge and have driven on it more than 1000 times. If I have job sites in DC or Virginia, 9 times out of 10 I was crossing that bridge.
